Custom Terrain

The Hunger SMP has custom terrain generation for the Overworld, Nether, and End. All three dimensions have custom structures as well.

Functional Blocks



Multi-Player Animations

Various functional blocks such as the Crafting Table, Anvil, and Enchantment Table, have several quality of life features. All three have
multi-player animations. This means players will be able to see what you do in those blocks, such as crafting. The items will stay in the functional block even after you leave the GUI. Other minor balancing changes are below.


Anvils

Anvils have been rebalanced and now have these features changed/added:

  • You can now rename items for free

  • Renaming items supports custom formatting

  • Anvils last longer and have a lower chance of breaking

  • Repairing items is much cheaper

  • Combining enchantmed books now does not require experience

  • "Too Expensive!" has been removed

  • Iron blocks can repair Anvils

  • Renaming a nametag no longer requires an anvil


Enchantment Table

Enchantment Tables have been rebalanced and now have these features have been changed/added:

  • New button to reroll enchantments

  • Blocks between a bookshelf and enchanting table are no longer forced to be air, anything without a collision box will work now such as torches

Enchantment Levels

Enchantments have been rebalanced and max levels have updated. These new max levels will not be found naturally in enchanting tables, villager trades, loot tables, or any other means. They may only be obtained by combining items and books in an anvil.
The modified maximum levels for enchantments are below.

Melee weapon enchantments:

  • Smite VI

  • Bane of Arthropods VI

Ranged weapon enchantments:

  • Quick Charge V

  • Piercing V

Armor enchantments:

  • Projectile Protection V

  • Blast Protection V

  • Feather Falling V

  • Frost Walker V

  • Swift Sneak IV

  • Soul Speed IV

Trident enchantments:

  • Channeling II (see Trident)

  • Impaling VII

  • Loyalty V

Other enchantments:

  • Unbreaking V

  • Wind burst V

Trims



Additional Armor Trims

These 10 new trims can be put on armor only. How to obtain them is described below.

  • Storm: obtained through fishing during thunder and comes with a treasure (33% chance)

  • Ram: kill an Evoker riding a Ravager or the Ravager itself

  • Myth: can be bought from a Wandering Trader

  • Greed: can be found in Badlands mineshafts (20% chance)

  • Beast: can be found in igloo basements (50% chance)

  • Fever: can be found in a ruined portal in the Nether (20% chance)

  • Wrath: dropped by Withers killed in the Soul Sand Valley biome

  • Nihility: drops from a spawner in the Overworked (30% chance)

  • Horizon: can be found in suspicious gravel in cold ocean ruins (6% chance)

  • Origin: can be found by Sniffers in Old Growth Taiga biomes (30% chance)

  • Twilight: can be found by a cat as a morning gift (11% chance)

  • Parasite: drops from an Endermite killed by an Underman (20% chance)

  • Witness: drops from a natural Creaking Heart during the nigher (20% chance)


Tool Trims

These 4 new trims can be applied to most tools in a Smithing Table, just like armor trims. How to obtain them is below.

  • Linear: found in vanilla loot tables

  • Tracks: found in vanilla loot tables

  • Charge: found in vanilla loot tables

  • Frost: found in vanilla loot tables


More Armor Materials

There are 30 more materials that can be used to color your armor pieces as well as Elytra. Due to mod incompatibilities, they do not work with tools. These new materials can be applied:

  • Armadillo Scute

  • Blaze Rod

  • Blue Ice

  • Breeze Rod

  • Crying Obsidian

  • Dragon Breath

  • Dripstone Block

  • Echo Shard

  • End Crystal

  • Ender Pearl

  • Ghost Tear

Elytra Trims

Elytra can now be customized in Smithing Tables! Elytra support:

  • Armor trims (including custom ones templates and items)

  • Banner patterns

  • Dyes

  • Trial Key

  • Other


Trims and Trial Keys

Elytra can be placed in Smithing Tables with an armor trim pattern and item to create a trimmed Elytra. If you replace the armor trim pattern with a Trial Key, you get access to even more patterns.


Banner Patterns

Banners can be applied to Elytra to show the patterns, In the Smithing Table, combining Elytra with a banner and either Paper or Leather will transfer manner or shield patterns, respectively. Note: the patterns are applied without the base—you need to dye the Elytra to add it.


Dyes

If you want something simple, dye your Elytra however you like in a Crafting Table.


Other

  • Combining an Elytra with a Glow Ink Sac in a Crafting Table will make it glow

  • If you are willing to part with a Nether Star, you can apply a unique effect to your Elytra

  • There are even other secret recipes you can discover by accident!

Trident



Because of the Trident becoming obsolete in the mid to late-game, they have been buffed to make them able to compete with other weapons. In addition to the Trident being craftable, other changes made to the Trident are listed below.


Channeling Buff

  • Channeling now has 2 levels

  • Channeling II is not available naturally and must be made by combining two items or books


Enchantment Level Changes

  • Max level of Impaling is VII

  • Max level of Loyalty is V

  • The raised levels of both cannot be found naturally and must be combined in an anvil


Loyalty Changes

  • Loyalty tridents thrown into the void now return to the thrower

  • Loyalty enchanted Tridents will now remember the slot was thrown from

  • Loyalty bring drops and xp from the entity they have killed to the player (both melee and ranged combat).

The End

Main Changes

  • Custom terrain and structures (see World Generation)

  • Overhauled End fight with new dragon attacks, and more

  • Elytra trims (see Trims)


Shulker Drops

  • Shulkers now have a 50% chance to drop 2 Shulker shells


Shulker Boxes

  • Shulker Boxes can be opened from anywhere in the inventory or hotbar by right-clicking

  • Place Shulker Boxes by sneaking and placing

  • Container size is doubled

  • Place Shulker Box and any item in an Anvil to label

Required Mods

You can find the list of required mods here. Most should be compatible with other mods, but some may not. The list of incompatibilities is below.

  • Elytra Trims is soft incompatible with Lunar Client and Feather Client

  • Armor Stands may be posed

  • Placing an Item Frame on a Hanging Sign will allow you to place items on the Hanging Sign

  • There is a combat log prevention mod

  • Happy Ghast speeds are much faster (3x the vanilla speed)

  • Ladders may be placed underneath existing ladders without a solid block

  • Creepers mobGriefing is set to false

  • Boots enchanted with Feather Falling will prevent trampling crops

  • To message the person who last messaged you, use the command /r <message>

  • Stasis chambers work after server restarts
